How I Reset My Health in 28 Days

It's the new year, and like many people, I found myself caught up in the "new year, new me" mentality. I know it may sound cliché, but this time, I decided to embrace it. With some goals in mind and a desire to improve my overall health and well-being, I embarked on a personal 28-day challenge. Eating Habits:

One of the key aspects of my 28-day challenge is focused on my eating habits. I realized that my food choices played a significant role in my overall well-being. I decided to prioritize protein, healthy fats, and complex carbohydrates while avoiding processed foods, eating out, and indulging in junk food. To tackle my sugar addiction, I committed to cutting out all forms of sugar for the entire month. Being disciplined and mindful of my food choices was crucial, especially since I have Hashimoto's, a low thyroid condition that makes weight loss challenging.

Water Intake:

Staying adequately hydrated is essential for overall health. I set specific water goals for myself, starting with consuming 64 ounces (eight 8-ounce glasses) per day. Gradually, I aimed to increase my intake to 128 ounces (a gallon) per day. I recognized that dehydration could hinder my progress, even if I followed a healthy eating plan. By prioritizing water intake, I ensured my body would function optimally throughout the challenge.

Exercise Routine:

Regular exercise is vital for both physical and mental well-being. Although I had a gym membership, life events and setbacks caused me to neglect my workouts for several months. It was time to get back on track. I committed to visiting the gym two to three days a week, allowing for flexibility in case of a busy schedule. Additionally, I joined a step bet app, which provided an extra layer of accountability and motivation to stay active. The app set step goals for me, encouraging me to achieve them six days a week, with one day off for rest.

Accountability Measures:

Maintaining motivation throughout the 28-day challenge required accountability. I utilized various methods to hold myself accountable. First, I incorporated bullet journaling into my routine. This involved tracking my habits, including water consumption, eating choices, exercise, and journaling. I found that visualizing my progress helped me stay on track. Additionally, sharing my journey on YouTube through regular video updates provided external accountability. Knowing that others were anticipating my progress pushed me to stay dedicated.

Embarking on a 28-day healthy reset journey allowed me to prioritize my well-being and work towards achieving my goals. By focusing on my eating habits, staying hydrated, following an exercise routine, and maintaining accountability, I set the stage for positive change.
